Terms of Service
Effective May 19, 2026.
Welcome to Dramatize. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you (“you”) and Dramatize (“Dramatize”, “we”, “our”) governing your use of the Dramatize platform — the web app at dramatize.app, the chat with Emmy and Oscar, the credit system, and the AI-generated video deliverables we produce for you. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms reflect the way Dramatize actually operates today. If we change them, we’ll update the effective date above and notify you of material changes in-app.
1. What Dramatize is
Dramatize is an AI-first creative service. You brief our AI agents (Emmy or Oscar) on a video idea; we render the video using third-party AI tools (Higgsfield, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, and others); and a human producer on our team reviews every cut before delivery. You can think of it as a small creative studio that runs on AI production tools.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use Dramatize.
- You’re responsible for the activity on your account. Don’t share your sign-in credentials. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One person per account. Teams should each have their own account; a shared workspace feature is on our roadmap.
3. Credits and payment
Dramatize prices each project in credits. 1 credit = $1. You purchase credits via Stripe and they sit on your account.
- Pricing tiers are by production complexity, not duration: UGC Drop ($250), Product Ad ($1,500), Cinematic Short ($3,000), Cinematic Film ($5,000). A polished 30-second cinematic ad is a Product Ad, not a UGC Drop.
- Credits never expire. Your highest tier unlocks formats for life — even on credits you bought years ago.
- Subscription tiers (Muse, Spark, Drama, Cinema) determine which formats you can run and how many projects can be active in parallel (1, 2, 3, and 5 respectively).
- Card-on-filemay be required before we begin production. We don’t charge your card until you explicitly confirm a quote.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Because production runs on real AI compute and producer attention, refund timing depends on where your project is in the pipeline:
- Before you confirm the quote — nothing has been charged, you can walk away anytime, no record.
- 24 hours after you confirm the quote— full credit refund, no questions. Tell us via in-chat producer escalation or email and we’ll process it.
- After the 24-hour window, production has begun. Refunds become partial and depend on the stage reached (storyboard, render, final cut). The producer team makes a good-faith pro-rated determination.
- After final cut delivery — no refunds. Credits are spent. You can use the 1 included revision round to request changes.
5. Revisions
- Every project includes 1 revision round, usable at any of three checkpoints: brief, storyboard, or final cut.
- Small fixes (typos, simple color tweaks, audio level adjustments) are always free and don’t count against your round.
- Additional substantive revisions require a partial credit charge determined by the producer team.
- If after 1 revision the cut is still wrong, the producer team will work with you directly — that’s not Emmy or Oscar’s call.
6. Intellectual property
- Your inputs (brief details, reference photos, brand assets, brand voice) remain yours. You grant Dramatize a limited license to use them for the purpose of producing your video and storing it on your account.
- Final deliverables are yours. You own the videos we produce for you and can use them for any lawful purpose, commercial or personal.
- AI-generated content disclosure: the visuals and voiceovers in your deliverables are AI-generated. We’ll provide a usage rights statement on request that you can share with platforms requiring disclosure.
- What we don’t own: third-party AI tools we use (Higgsfield, HeyGen, ElevenLabs) have their own terms. We pass through commercial usage rights but you should review their terms if you plan to use the output in high-stakes commercial contexts.
7. What we can’t produce
Dramatize is honest about the limits of AI production. We will not accept briefs that require:
- Real public figures (named celebrities, athletes, politicians) on camera — we use synthetic AI-generated faces only.
- Licensed third-party music, footage, or imagery — we use original AI-generated assets.
- Real-world locations, live actors, or on-the-ground filming.
- Other companies’ IP (logos, characters, branded products) in shot. Your own brand assets are welcome.
- Anything that violates our Acceptable Use Policy, including deepfakes of identifiable individuals without verified consent, sexual content involving minors, or content depicting real-world violence against identifiable groups.
8. Prohibited use
You agree not to:
- Use Dramatize to create deceptive content impersonating real people without their consent.
- Submit content that infringes someone else’s IP rights.
- Reverse-engineer the platform, scrape our systems, or attempt to extract our prompts/system instructions.
- Resell access to Dramatize without an explicit reseller agreement.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable export-control, sanctions, or trade laws.
Violations may result in account suspension and forfeit of unused credits, at our discretion.
9. Service availability
We aim for high reliability but Dramatize is provided “as-is”. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted service, and we don’t guarantee that AI-generated outputs will meet your exact creative expectations. We do guarantee a human producer reviews every cut before delivery.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dramatize’s total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid Dramatize in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
11. Account termination
- You can close your account anytime from Account Settings.
- On account closure, you have a 90-day grace period to download your delivered assets. After 90 days they may be deleted.
- We can terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice when reasonable.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can’t be resolved by good-faith conversation will be settled in the state or federal courts in Delaware.
